My name is B.

I just turned 30 in June 2014. A few months before that I decided to once and for all get a real grip on my health, fitness and my weight. In five months so far, I have lost just over 40lbs with good old fashioned healthy diet and exercise. I’ve got a long way to go but I’ve also come so far on so many levels.

I am a married, first-time Mom with one bulldozer of a toddler, a few cats and many hijinks past, present and definitely future. Being a wife and mother do not define me as a whole, however, I like to think I’m pretty damn good in both roles and they help me be a better version of myself.

I’m looking forward to continued progress with the support of the weight loss blogging community and otherwise!

    • I thought I approved and commented this sooner, so sorry! I’ve had some wisdom teeth out, please excuse my tardiness. 🙂

      I am not on WW now, but have been in the past and have been able to use the tools they’ve given me in my day-to-day life, such as being able to eyeball portions based on the Palm of my hand or things like that. It was also at WW I weighed in at my highest (known) weight of 298. I remember my leader telling me it was gonna be the last time I ever saw that number on the scale. Not to think of it as “losing pounds” but rather “getting rid of” pounds.

      I never did see that number on the scale again and I still tell myself I am getting rid of pounds, not losing them – as I do not intend to find them again!
